Delanie Lost Her First Tooth!

So the tooth fairy came to visit a bit early at the Fraser House. Delanie was playing with Kim and she bit his shirt. For some reason she yanked his shirt out of her mouth and then cried b/c her mouth hurt. Kim and I both looked and saw nothing so told her it would be fine. Two days later we were having date night (pictures above) with friends Cindy and Sarah and during dinner she said her tooth hurt. This time when I looked, I saw blood along her gum line so I went for a wiggle. Delanies little bottom front tooth was loose!! Three days later after brushing her teeth before bed I asked her to let me feel it. It was sooo loose I just picked it right up out of her mouth. We were all excited until she went to bed and started balling!! Kim and I asked her why she was crying and she said, "I don't ever want to be an adult and get married"! At this point, she could have cared less about the tooth fairy and was only concerned about living with Kim and I forever! Broke our hearts!!
Pictures above are of course her missing her tooth and from Get Fired Up a local pottery studio. This was the same night we realized it was loose! :) Congratulations Buggy!!!!!!!! You can live with mommy and daddy for as long as you want! (I hope I don't regret saying that!)

It's Cold!

Today is Sunday November 16, 2008 and we woke up to weather in the 50's. The high was only 64 degrees and boy did it feel good after the last few days being in the 80's. The kids got into the spirit by dressing for it.
We spent the day at the park celebrating the end of the season for the Orange Speedy Race Car's. Delanie got a trophy and her coach called her the most improved. She spent most of the season being dragged around the field, but during her second to last game she got the hang of it. From then on, she was right there supporting her team by going after the ball when ever she got the chance. We are very proud of her. Dylan got a little token for being a supportive brother. Though he wants to play badly, he has to wait til he is 4 and will have to remain on the side lines cheering his big sister on!

Halloween 2008

Happy Halloween! This is a picture from a visit to our local pumpkin patch! Kids had fun picking out more baby pumpkins for our ever growing collection. My hope was for the kids to help carve the big one we chose, but when it came time to take out the seeds Delanie said they were too slimmy and Dylan just copied her. They did however enjoy eating the them!! We gave our pumpkin a spooky face and the kids got scarred when the lights went out. Dylan didn't like his teeth and Delanie didn't like his eyes. I guess I did a good job!
Halloween night was fun. Delanie was a 50's girl and Dylan was a greeser. They ran from house to house while the adults followed on the golf cart. Delanie was in awe of how much candy she was getting and Dylan really enjoyed just nocking on the door and yelling trick or treat with all the other kids. This was technically was his first time.

NYC

So I went to NYC for my friend Audra's birthday! We really had a great time. There couldn't have been one inch of the city that we didn't cover. We got tickets for the big red bus and used it instead of a taxi. Great form of transportation while getting an education about the city. We shopped, shopped, shopped, ate great food especially the salad pizza in Soho, and hung out in Central Park. Audra's friend Zak Jamali who's uncle is a pretty famous artist was working at the gallery and turned us on to a great pizza place that has this incredible salad pizza. Afterward he gave us a tour of the gallery and I was very impressed to which now I am a fan. The weather was fantastic. The temperature during the day was in the low sixties and in the evening in the low 50's. Our last day we ate at Tavern on the Green in Central Park and just enjoyed the view and the weather. The leaves were changing so you can imagine how excited I was due to the foliage here only coming in 2 colors.... green and brown. The next time I am in the city I would love to rent bikes and just enjoy the city as if I lived there!

Delanie's First Game

Delanie had her first game. She was a bit scared to go out on the field, but her coach Ms. Erin convinced her to be the official kick off girl. She did great! We think it was because her friend Christopher whom she has had a little crush on since last year was unable to attend the game.

She promises next week to play. No one was keeping score, but I think our Orange Speedy Race Cars won!! Here are some photos from practice and the game!

Delanie Started Soccer

Hi Everyone,

Well, our little buggy started soccer yesterday! She did great and even got better by the end of practice. Her first game is next Sat.! She was very excited that we signed her up, but several hours before practice said she was very nervous. When I asked why she said b/c she didn't know any of the kids. When we got to practice she saw a familiar face and all of her nervousness was relieved! I don't have pictures yet b/c I forgot my camera, but will post next week. Dylan on the other hand is all about soccer and was very upset he couldn't play. So much so that he took out his frustrations on me and sat in time-out the remainder of Delanie's practice b/c he also refused to apologize!

The kids overall are great! Kim is still busy busy with work and so am I. We are looking forward to a long weekend, but he will be showing property tomorrow and I will continue to edit, edit, edit!!

Here are some pictures from all throughout the years for those of you who live far and haven 't been able to see the kids grow up! Enjoy!

This Summer 2008

Surprisingly this summer has flown by pretty quick. Our summer was filled with many days spent on the beach day and night, day trips, swim lessons, the park, the pool, and time spent with friends and family!! Here is an update on the family and all that has been happening thoughout the year so far.

Both of the kids LOVE the water... especially Delanie! We live just across from the beach so it is a great way to wear the kids out. Delanie has continued her surfing lessons from daddy this year. She is quite the water bug and her love for surfing is getting right up there with Kim's. When daddy says he is going to check the waves, her excitement melts daddy's heart. She is such a DADDY'S GIRL!! She also loves art, music, and dancing. She is very excited for dance this year and also starts soccer in September. She is really excited for both but ballet is numero uno! Delanie is also getting ready to start the VPK program at school. She met her teacher and classmates today and is very excited about the new year. She is able to write her name, but will also start leaning how to put other words together too! This will be helpful for her book writing. She makes a picture on paper and then writes a bunch of letters on the bottom to tell the story. Though she can't really spell words, I applaud her creativity and think its great that she wants to try. Her art has really come along way and we are astonished by her pictures. Her teacher Ms. Heel is very nice and has a lot of fun things planned for the yr. She does a cooking class once a week and will continue yoga class and to learn more spanish. Delanie also had 2 summer jobs. She took care of plants for one neighbor and fed fish for another. She gets to keep half of what she makes and the other half goes into savings. She really likes getting paid, but our neighbor makes her feel really special for just helping with the plants. We can't believe she is already 4 yrs old!!

Dylan completed another year of ISR Swim Lessons and is becoming quite the water bug as well. He too likes surfing but after a few waves he wants to see mommy! :) :) He continues his love of animals especially for giraffes. He was so cute at the zoo asking to hold them. He is all about animals, trucks, cars, pirates, and destroying something, but when Delanie breaks out the Barbie's he is down for being Ken too! He is actually really good at creative play. He talks up a storm and everything right now is "WHY"! He loves to help me cook and clean and loves to help daddy work with tools. He tries to copy everything Delanie does and their bond is growing into something really special. Though they still have their squabbles, they are really starting to play together and Dylan enjoys making Delanie laugh! Their big game right now is hide and seek.

Kim has been really busy with real estate. Despite our current market, he has stayed busy and is looking to do more commercial stuff. He has flipped several properties with success and is currently looking to do another.

I have started a online business with a friend called SomethingAboutStationery.com which is keeping me really busy. After 4 yrs of being a stay at home mom, it has been a struggle trying to juggle the kids, hubby, and working from home. Though it has been tough, I am proud to be a business owner, mother and wife. The company is getting ready to launch and I am really excited to see what the future brings!
